Laerskool Bertie Barnard van Stilbaai spog met 4 SWD atlete Die Laerskool Bertie Barnard het 4 atlete wat hul SWD Kleure verwerf het; Zak Liebenberg S0/13 Diskus, Megan Maxted DO/12 Diskus, Richard Marshall SO/12 Spiesgooi en Elzé van Tonder DO/11 Gewigstoot. Hierdie 4 atlete van Stilbaai neem die naweek van die 5de Maart aan die Wes-Kaap Kampioenskappe deel.

Freedom Road Rally in Stilbaai The Freedom Road Rally is an annual event hosted by the Christian Motorcyclists Association Cape Town (CMA CT). In 2011 we celebrate the 29th year of hosting this motorcycle rally. CMA visits Stilbaai on the Garden Route on the Western Cape For the past few years the rally has been held in the month of February at the municipal campsite, Ellensrust, in the town of Stilbaai on the Garden Route of the Western Cape. The local business community welcomes this cash injection between the busy December holiday season and the Easter weekend into the economy of this small community. Large Numbers Participate in Bike Rally at Stilbaai On average we have between 850 to 1100 entries for the weekend plus an additional 200 to 300 people working on site as vendors, family of such vendors and members of CMA CT (whom are the hosts for the weekend). We thus have a total of between 1100 to 1400 people on site for the whole weekend whom all need to be provided with food and drinks. Goliat van Gat Pampoenfees in Stilbaai Dis weer tyd vir die jaarlikse Goliat van Gat Pampoenfees te Stilbaai op 1 en 2 April 2011. Die fees het 6 jaar gelede as ‘n jaarlikse instelling ontstaan in die noordelike deel van ons land onderleiding van Mnr Louis Meintjies, vise-President van die TLU op daardie stadium. Laerskool Bertie Barnard bied Stilbaai se Pampoenfees aan Die fees word deur die Laerskool Bertie Barnard aangebied, en fondse wat uit die Pampoenfees gemaak word, word aangewend vir verbeteringe en ander projekte wat deur die skool geloods word om opvoeding van hulle leerders te bevorder. Die drieledige doel van die Pampoenfees in Stilbaai Die doel van die Pampoenfees is ook om mense na Stilbaai lok deur die Fees en sodoende te help om die stil tyd na die gewoel van Desember bietjie te verbreek. So help die fees ook mee aan die ekonomiese groei van ons dorp. Verder is die doel van die fees om Landbou en die uitdagings wat daarmee gepaard gaan onder die breë publiek se aandag te bring – ook die noodsaaklikheid dat ons moet plant om in die behoeftes van ons land se mense te kan voorsien.
